B.Sc Physician Assistant
Course Duration: 4years
The Physician Assistants work in different areas such as outpatient wing, wards and critical care units, operation theaters and other super specialty units like, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Orthopaedics , Oncology, Endocrinology , Head and Neck and Plastic Surgery, Catheterization labs, Coronary care units, Organ Transplant units and trauma care etc.
Monitoring vitals for the patient.
Teaching breathing exercise for lung expansion.
Explaining the uses of Three - way Adapters.
Observation of the patient in operation theatre.
Checking Blood Pressure for blood donor patient.
Physician Assistants are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services in all the medical specialties, as delegated by a physician. Working as members of a health care team, they collect medical histories, initial examination of the patients, and assist the doctors for diagnosis and treatment.

Eligibility for Admission
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the Allied Health Sciences should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic / Vocational Stream)
Admission Requirement
The candidates seeking admission to the Allied Health Science Programmes shall submit the prescribed application to the college along with the copies of the educational certificates and other essential documents to the college. After scrutinizing the application and documents the candidates shall be called for admission based on their merits.
The candidates called for admission shall produce all their original certificates and other original documents pertaining to their qualification as prescribed by the University at the time of admission. The admission of candidates failing to submit the originals shall stand as cancelled.

Under Graduate Programmes
Candidates passed Higher Secondary from Tamil Nadu State Board
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
- HSC or equivalent mark statement
- Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
- Copy of Aadhar Card
- Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
Candidates passed Higher Secondary from other than Tamil Nadu State Board
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
- HSC (10+2) or equivalent mark statement
- Migration Certificate obtained from the respective board of their study
- Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai
- Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
- Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
- Copy of Aadhar Card
