The Radio Imaging (Diagnostic Imaging) degree provides a route into a rewarding lifelong career as a Diagnostic Radiographer. The course provides the physical, technological, biological and psycho social knowledge required to work within a healthcare team and gain the professional skills and accreditation to practice as a radiographer.

Diagnostic Radiography

Diagnostic radiography involves learning how to use medical imaging,

such as X-ray, MRI and ultrasound to help doctors make a diagnosis.

Radiography and Imaging course will give the skills that is needed in order to be able to:

  • Produce high quality images (such as x-rays, ultrasound, radioactivity and magnetic resonance) that provide vital information about what is happening inside the body
  • Evaluate the diagnostic and technical quality of images
  • Recognise normal and abnormal anatomical appearances
  • Administer appropriate caring skills to every individual
  • Give intravenous injections and carry out some contrast examinations in their field.

They will also develop their communication skills as diagnostic radiographers get involved in a wide range of procedures providing essential services not only within the imaging department but also in operating theatres, wards and the emergency department.

Course Duration

Diploma in Radio Imaging  is a 2 years program.

B.Sc in Radio Imaging Technology is a 3 years program.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary exam (12th standard )
Students of any group (science, commerce or any other group) are eligible to join this course.
Students who passed group of (science) are eligible to join B.Sc Radio Imaging Technology course.
